Tube Council Holds Spring Meeting in San Juan

The Tube Council held its spring meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico April 28-30. The meeting included technical presentations, a cocktail and dinner reception at the Pikayo Restaurant, a networking reception and a golf tournament.
Awards were also given at the Tube of the Year awards presentation. Winners included Skippy Squeez’ It, with the Ted Klein Tube of the Year award; FlexaTube, International Tube of the Year and Innovative Tube of the Year and Colgate Simply White dual-chamber tube, Innovative Component/Process of the Year.
Tubes were judged by a 70-person panel. “Watching this process for the first time was quite a revelation,” said Carole Schiller, awards and events manager for the Tube Council and keynote speaker. “At the end of the long and sometimes boisterous discussions, the judges were in agreement for the 2003 Tube of the Year award winners.”
